ready for THE LONG STORY?

I was fortunate to be surrounded by friends who believed in a life of adventure. In college, I went with one of my very best friends to Australia to Study Abroad for a semester, changing my life, forever. Upon arrival back to the United States I committed to a life of travel and experiences. I lived in England and Italy for several months at a time with very little desire to settle into any kind of corporate life. However, in 2012, I got my first corporate job as a Customer Service representative. It was then I learned that I could have both. A life of adventure & a steady income. I learned how incredible it was to give support to small business owners. It was important for me to stay true to myself and my personality, building relationships along the way. In 2013 I moved out of Customer Service & into a Sales position and really started to feel like I was in the right part of the business. I loved being able to travel to clients to talk about the value proposition of our company. I continued to hit the goals set by my company. In 2014, I was eyeing up an opportunity to move out of the Internal Sales role and move somewhere new. I was hired to cover Utah, Idaho & Montana and bring on new distribution. I was thrilled. I moved to Salt Lake City and built a life for myself. In 2017, I was looking for something different. A new way to get more experience. I applied for and was hired to manage our biggest vertical, Government business. The vertical was 230M+ in revenue and covered multiple types of consumers - education, federal, state and local governments.  Throughout my sales career I learned how important it is to have clear messaging. I have fine tuned my communication skills to successfully present to audiences that range from a single person presentation to a room of over 200 people. 2020 was quite the year for everyone. I welcomed my first child into the world and in 2021. moved to a brand new city, Madison, Wisconsin. I now lead the SunSetter Sales Team. As someone who is always looking for their next step, I am interested in finding ways to connect with more people who are looking for their next step.  I have found my strongest skill set and asset is my ability to tell a story and get buy in. It's the single biggest reason I have been as successful as I have been. I'd like to take others on a similar journey and teach you how to create powerful presentations to get what you need. 

THE CORPORATE STORY.

March 2021  -  Present

Director of Sales

Accountable for national dealer channel representing 75% of total sales. Developed standard processes and improved dealer communication to drive YoY growth +27%. Leverage data-driven insights to develop and implement innovative sales strategies, effectively capturing new market opportunities. Train and lead high-caliber sales team that delivers exceptional customer experiences.

  • Identified and built dealer coverage model based on top 100 MSAs, resulting in addition of 145 territories and $1M in revenue.

  • Built first field sales team from scratch, including development of job descriptions, territories, travel budgets, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring.

  • Created new dealer accountability and performance tracking to drive key metrics and business results.

  • Worked closely with product team to launch 2 new colors, 3 new fabric lines, and new product line. Actions included gathering insights from consumers and dealers, researching market dynamics and competitive landscape, setting pricing strategies, creating sales materials, and approving marketing collateral.

  • Spearheaded 3-day sales meeting attended by 170 dealers and business owners, designed to strengthen partnerships and maintain long-term customer relationships.

March 2017 - December 2020

Director, Public Sector Sales 

Promoted to plan and execute national vision and strategy for $230M+ public sector vertical, achieving 5–10% YOY growth. Developed customer-centric training tools to streamline processes and empower 90 inside and outside national sales professionals.

  • Championed end-to-end process of implementing business development tool, adding 500+ new projects and $125M.

  • Key cross-functional team lead on $65M+ contract award that increased sales growth over next 5 years. Facilitated executive engagement with VP of Sales, managing the project through daily stand-up meetings to ensure timely deliverables and adherence to timelines.

  • Researched K-12 and higher education segments to create PPT sales tool for 90 sales members to utilize while pitching educational products to school districts.

January 2015- February 2017

Business Development Manager

Worked with senior leadership to develop, document, and refine business development pipeline to drive revenue growth, maintain and build customer relationships, and hit set targets in UT, ID, and MT.

  • Grew $11M+ marketplace to $15M+ by building trusted relationships with business owners and implementing new dealer incentives.

  • Effectively managed 2 blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) and closed $2.5M net revenue project.
